Buccaneer

The Buccaneer is a traditionally independent military and naval asset of Melmane, historically aligned with the Admiralty or the Saurian city there. The title appears on its bearer rather than being assigned, similar to how the Lord of Fire and Earth title functions. The Buccaneer carries a blade that transforms into the Buccaneer's Blade in relevant contexts, and this reputation carries social weight in some places (such as the Kingdom of the Sharks).

The Buccaneer is a role that dates to at least the previous Comet, when the title-holder served alongside Scout, the Lord, and the Lady. The previous Buccaneer was one of the Lady's seconds.
