Tan Karu

Tan Karu is the sub-minister of the Ministry of Pearls under Li Sun.

He holds the rank of 2nd rank Bureaucrat, which is unusual for a sub-minister position. Normally sub-ministers hold 1st rank. Inspector Vok speculates this may be because Tan Karu is a priest while Li Sun is not, though he is investigating this discrepancy further.

Tan Karu's ministry regulates actors. The Ministry of Pearls may be involved in a series of assassinations that have occurred over the past two years, though the exact nature of their involvement remains unclear to the Inspectorate.
