A list of plots and things that we need to look into.

Large-Scale Plots

  • Opening Middlesea
  • Opening Spiritbreaker Fortress

Recurring Bad Guys

  • The Orc, Slayer: The Avatar of the Breaker. See Muddle in Middlesea.
  • Mikhailovich: The Saurian who was building (and then destroying) the wall in Nalari in Yellow. He claimed to be from Orange, but we think he was lying. He used Forge magic but not Creation or Elemental, so we posit he may be a Rainbow Mage, and therefore possibly he was a slith who had shapeshifted.
  • Silenalania: Drow shaman and Green mage who had been disguised and in Their Majesty's delegation from Green. One of the leaders(?) of the group corrupting the Spirits of Green, which seems to be based out of Spiritbreaker Fortress.

Purple

Breaker's Goal: Take over the Empire

Stella asked the Goddess what needs fixing, in 4.4:

  • Having an Emperor would be good, although there isn’t a convenient one to hand
  • The Orc Invasion needs to be pushed back is important; it will get worse when Middlesea opens, so pushing it back as much as possible before then would be good.
  • The Half-Orcish spy ring should be taken apart, because he’ll be a Terrible Emperor. (Making him Emperor would not fix the first problem.)
  • Stopping the Pirates would be good.
  • Keeping Inspector Vok from being assassinated would be good.
  • Eventually we’ll need the key to Middlesea, so figuring that out wouldn’t be bad.
  • Making sure no one else gets the Key to Middlesea would be good.

Todo

  • Get a Mission from the Ministry of Lions
  • Find the Heart of Purple
  • Provide a Report to the Ministry of Magic, Subministry of Frag, on the mess that is Vidan. Requires speaking to either Mother Jess in King Richard's Lands or Ritasi in Rinyan.

The Emperor's Spy Network

The group of half-orc assassins and others who seem to be on Team Terrible on the take-over-the-Empire plot. They're being investigated by Inspector Vok, who has about 45 out of 100 clue points as of run 4.5. They seem to have some connection to the Ministry of Pearls, which regulates actors.

We believe they're more than 50 percent half-orcs. The assassin we found in 4.5 had a necklace with a Temish miracle of Hide Me, which made him seem human.

Green

Breaker's Goal: Corrupt the Spirits of the Forest (and others)

Orange

Breaker's Goal: Corrupt the Orange Zone

Stella's Hammer of What Needs Fixing in Rinyan Redux (19 successes, 12 DI):

  • There is nothing serious in Rinyan that needs Fixing right now.
  • Broadening to Orange as a whole, there’s definitely the Thing She Can’t See, even with 19 successes.
  • The Orange Mages who are working to expand Orange and are likely to Break it need fixing, but that’s a long-term project, and you’ve already put some resources onto that. It will need more tending.
  • Getting Nivad (Goddess-flavored Purple Guy) more direction is a good thing to work on. It will definitely be a step towards Fixing Things that the Goddess Wants Fixed.
  • Vani has a Broken Plot that is proceeding, that it would be good to thwart. It’s not huge, but it’s the biggest Broken plot in the country that is imminent. (Orange Mages are larger, less imminent, and not everyone in it is Broken or Bent. There is some devil-on-the-shoulder going on, it would be good to find them and deal with them.)
  • The Goddess notes that Uncle Carlo and the Treasure Map are on Stella’s todo list, but they’re not on the Fix-It list.

Red

Breaker's Goal: Promote the Disagreements between Rush and the rest of the Five

  • Talk to Mother Jess, head of the Church of Navere, in King Richard's Lands. She was one of the three who set up the Vidan/Nivad/Dinav plot.

Blue

Breaker's Goal: Assassinate enough of the Blue Mages that Melmane falls to Chaos (more than it already has)

Yellow

Breaker's Goal: Send enough slith into Jabar to conquer it.
