Queen Ionia

Queen Ionia is the reigning monarch of Victoria, a roughly 100-year-old kingdom in northwestern Red bordering Purple and the Broken Lands. She is the granddaughter of the kingdom's founder, Baroness Gabriella.

Throughout her reign, Ionia has pursued an aggressive military strategy focused on defending and expanding Victoria's frontiers outward rather than conquering deeper into Red. Her forces include:

• Hard-bitten frontier commanders, notably Lord Karsten
• An unusual abundance of berserkers
• Experienced shock troops

Victoria's military posture makes it a volatile but formidable regional power. Ionia holds both the kingship and the office of General, a dual role shared by other major rulers like Richard III. Her border decisions materially affect the balance of surrounding realms—notably her choice to stand down on the eastern frontier during orc invasions.

Victoria's culture reflects its frontier character. The kingdom hosts diverse religious figures, including priests of the Nameless, and features mixed Victorian manor houses, palisades, and garden compounds. The realm plays a prominent role in Red's diplomatic and military affairs.
