Rakta

Rakta is a Priest of Tem who has been assigned to observe the party.

He is described as "long-suffering" and serves as a liaison between the party and the Guiding Star, the High Priest of Tem. Rakta has the ability to provide protection from half-orc detection and cast miracles, including one that granted four party members a +24 bonus to Perception while asleep.

Rakta initially encountered the party in relation to an orc attack. Scout consulted with him about whether he had noticed the assault, and Rakta revealed he had dreamed about the orcs attacking the people he was watching before being told to wake up. Scout gave him an evidence packet regarding what the orcs sought.

He later shadowed the party at an inn, hiding in a patch of strange darkness in a corner. When discovered by Managaratha, he acknowledged his presence and explained he was following them on behalf of the Guiding Star.

During interrogation, Rakta confirmed that the Guiding Star was aware of the party's presence in the capital and wanted to monitor them. He indicated there were other strange happenings in the capital on the day of Middlesea, but directed the party to contact the Guiding Star directly for more information. He recommended they avoid approaching the Guiding Star at the Temple.
