Mikhailovich

Mikhailovich (also known as Fyodor) is a Slith in disguise as a Saurian. The party theorizes he is a Rainbow Mage using red magic to shapeshift into saurian form.

Actions as Mikhailovich

Mikhailovich arrived in Nalari, Yellow by boat approximately six months before the wall project, claiming to be from Orange (though not from a specific city, which raised suspicion). He quickly integrated into local society as a talented Yellow mage and skilled engineer.

He was hired as chief engineer for Princess Alasta's city wall project. During vetting, he appeared to lower his magical defenses without revealing anything suspicious—likely through yellow magic manipulation. He demonstrated proficiency in:

• Orange magic and Yellow magic
• Forge magic (but notably not Creation or Elemental magic)
• Engineering and design work
• Social arts and influence

After the party investigated the construction site, Mikhailovich acknowledged to Nesh (in Saurian) that an anti-magic field existed on the premises. He then disappeared.

He subsequently sabotaged the wall project by seeding black powder explosives throughout three major sections. The bombs detonated in three successive waves, likely triggered via magic (possibly by transforming rock above the bombs into lava to ignite fuses). The explosions caused significant damage but no deaths, as workers were positioned further down the wall at the time. Scout confirmed Mikhailovich left the country after the sabotage.

Investigation revealed he left no personal effects behind and had likely not been a registered Guild member despite his skill level.

Actions as Fyodor

Fyodor appeared at a house party in Vani (at the Lord's House) as a recently arrived Saurian Yellow mage.

During the party, Nesh engaged Fyodor in conversation and raised his resistance, causing Fyodor to lower his in response—though no illusions fell away. Fyodor subsequently vanished from the party, and when Gale cast a spell targeting the nearest slith, something activated outside the main rooms. Pyotr observed that Fyodor teleported away—an ability unusual for a Yellow mage—suggesting he was a rainbow mage.

Managaratha later confirmed the sigil recovered from the basement matched that of the wall saboteur, confirming Fyodor and Mikhailovich were the same entity.
